Best Social Media Tools \\ Top Small Business Tools

Managing a small business a can be a struggle am I right? Whether you just launched a new product or if you’ve been in your industry for years, it can be overwhelming and social media can be one of the first things to fall by the wayside when life gets busy. If that sounds about right, I have one word for you: automation. Why spend time doing things in realtime when you can set up systems to do it all (or almost all) for you? That’s where the best social media tools for small business come in.

Social media is always growing and changing but one thing that never changes is the need for consistency. During a recent live with Stacy Hart Photography, we discussed how consistency looks different for everyone. Some companies may be posting across multiple channels every day while a mom and pop shop doesn’t even know what Instagram is…and guess what? That’s ok! Give yourself grace, go with the flow, and use these top small business tools to improve your social media presence slowly but surely.

  • Planoly – Planoly is the visual planning app I use for all of my Instagram and Facebook content. The app allows me to upload, tile content, fill captions, add hashtags and drum roll……schedule each image to autopost at a specific time. Long gone are my days of realizing it’s 8 p.m. and rushing to put together a post. Sound like it’s too good to be true? It’s not and there’s even more: you can view insights, respond to comments, and Planoly even tells you your “best times to post” each day. It truly is my favorite, time saving app. Check out the video below to see it in action and then try it out here.
  • Lightroom Mobile – Consistency is a huge part of an Instagram feed, whether you’re a photographer or not and editing plays a huge part of that. If I’m on the go and can’t access my computer, I use Lightroom Mobile to edit everything with the same presets.
  • Stories Edit – This app is actually made by Planoly and one of my favorites! The fonts, design options, and ease of use make it perfect. From more detailed designs to simple, clean set-ups like I use, Stories Edit has a variety of options for any business or influencer.
  • Tailwind – Pinterest is, often times, the most overwhelming social media app for small business owners. But, it can also be the most rewarding. Using Tailwind has allowed me to take the guess work out of what and when I pin thanks to their easy to use plug-in. I can pin directly from published blogs and the pins automatically go out at the “best time” for maximum reach. I can also create and upload custom pins for educational blogs like this one. I just create an on-brand graphic in Stories Edit and upload through Tailwind. It’s so easy!

These apps are the top ways I save time in my business when managing my social media accounts. In addition to these, I utilize an all-in-one client management system to simplify my “office” to-dos. Here’s a little more on that:

  • Honeybook – Honeybook is an all-in-one online booking system that takes care of 99% of my back end tasks and has decreased my workflow time ten-fold.  Don’t believe me?  Let me walk you through my favorite features and show you that it’s not too good to be true: email tracking, contracting, questionnaires, and more. Click here to get 50% off your first year’s subscription.

All these apps help streamline my business and keep things running quickly and smoothly. Questions? I’m happy to answer anything. I’m just an email away.
